Item drops in Dofus are a little more complicated than your average MMORPG. The chance for a monster to drop an item for your character can actually be increased. Prospecting points (PP) determines the chance an item will drop for a character. Followers of Enutrof have a 120 base prospecting while all others only have a 100.

Drops in Dofus can also be increased by wearing armor that increases your prospecting points. Things like equipment, kamas, and pets can drop from different monsters. Having a higher prospecting value will increase the chance of these drops. These are all things which are in the player's ability to change.
