Dofus Items
When you begin to play the game, one of the first things you will come into contact with are Dofus items. There are many different types of items in the game and many different ways in which you can acquire them. You can get items from markets, combat, quests and merchants. There are also items that you can gather or craft depending on your professions within the game. The type of Dofus item and the quality of it depends on many different things.
All Dofus items belong to a certain category. These categories are how they are classified within the game. These Dofus items are also organized in your inventory into four different sections. An item is either a quest item, equipment, resources or miscellaneous. Effect items do not show in your inventory at all and will show only on an icon at the top of your screen. Some types of equipment are weapons such as the axe, bow, dagger, hammer, pickaxe, staff, sword, wand, etc. Other types are amulets, belts, boots, cloak, rings, shield, pet, mount and hat.
Effect items are typically used only once by a character, usually to give a certain type of effect and may include beer, bread, documents, drinks, candy, edible fish, full soul gem and more. Resources are Dofus items that are useless on their own but that are used in professions or gathered by professions. These may include alchemy equipment, bone, cereal, fabric, flour, fish and more. Quest items are of course, those Dofus items that are somehow related to a quest or needed for a particular quest. These cannot be thrown away or destroyed. They are usually gotten when you trade a resource, talk to an NPC or by doing battle.
