Dofus Pets
Characters within the world of Dofus can acquire Dofus pets. These pets are very similar to other equipment. They can be kept in your inventory and equipped and used to add stats to your character. Dofus pets are different from summoned creatures who attack for you in combat. The Dofus pet will not fight for you or help you attack.
Dofus pets can be very helpful but it is important to remember that they have to be properly cared for, unlike equipment. Your Dofus pet needs to be fed on a regular basis or it will die. Some pets have HP and when their HP reaches zero, they will die. Only paid players can take full advantage of the Dofus pet. With rare exceptions, most F2P players can own a pet and they can even equip it but they will not get the stat bonus that comes from the pet and they won't be able to feed it.
There are different types of Dofus pets. The main categories are regular pets, subscription reward pets, soul eater pets, reward pets and game master pets. Regular pets are in game rewards that you can get when you complete a dungeon or quest. Some examples are the Air Bwak, Baby Crowdzilla, Bow Meow and Fire Bwak. Subscription Dofus pets are special pets awarded to people who pay to play Dofus. Some examples of these are the Croum, Ghast, Leopardo, Pandawa Cub and the Pink Dragoone.
Souleater pets are a type of Dofus pets acquired when you subscribe also. These include the Gobtubby, El Scarador, Treechster and the Minifoux. Reward pets do not eat food and they have fixed stats. These include the Bilby, Bow Wow, QuaQuack and more. Lastly, the GM Dofus pet is for GMs only and this is the Super-Mighty Fighting Bow WoW.
